Hosted by Yard + Parish Co-Founders Samantha Newell and Alesha Bailey, get a look at how we celebrated International Women's Day at award-winning Pan-African restaurant, Tatale.

London: Since its launch in 2019, Yard + Parish has established itself as a space for Black women to thrive, not only as artisans and entrepreneurs, but also as a highly appreciated customer-base with insights and power. The platform continues to champion lifestyle innovations for the Black diaspora worldwide. For International Women's Day, Yard + Parish hosted a very special Women’s Day dinner to shout out the incredible achievements of our community.

"At Yard + Parish, our number one mantra is 'Black girls deserve nice things', ” says Co-founder Samantha Newell, who together with cousin and longtime business partner Alesha Bailey, invited an intimate group of inspiring Black professionals for a night of no-filter conversation and delicious pan-African fare by award-winning contemporary chef Akwasi Brenya-Mensa at his concept, Tatale.

Twiggy Jalloh (British Vogue), Yomi Adegoke (The List), and Josephine Philips (Sojo App), and Agnes Mwakatuma (Black Minds Matter) were among the guests in attendance, welcomed by a glass of celebratory bubbles. LIHA's signature Queen Idia candles graced the tables alongside handwritten notes addressed to each honoured guest and special gifts from M Squared Skincare, The Glowcery, Our Lovely Goods, and Lucocoa Chocolatiers, all of which are Black-Female-owned businesses, in quintessential Yard + Parish's curatorial fashion.
